Privacy
This site collects anonymous page-view statistics and nothing else. No cookies, no accounts, no forms.
Analytics
Page views are counted using Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage, so there is no consent banner to click through. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. It is not possible to follow an individual across sessions or across other websites.
Each page view records:
- the time of the visit
- the page address, and the referring page if there was one
- approximate location, derived from the request, no more precise than a city
- device type, operating system and browser, with version numbers
Your IP address is not stored, and none of this is tied to you as a person. The statistics are aggregated, and are visible only to me. Vercel processes this data on my behalf and retains it for up to twelve months.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no third-party tracking.
Getting in touch
There is no contact form here. If you email me at mitkoevoets@vaerens.com, I keep the message so I can reply to it, and I do not add you to any mailing list.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers log requests as part of delivering the site.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because the analytics are anonymous, there is normally nothing here to look up. Anything I do hold came from an email you sent me, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.
